Gunmen abducted six worshippers from a Celestial Church of Christ in Uso, Ondo State, during a midnight attack on Wednesday at approximately 12:50 am. Following the attack, one victim escaped, while the police, alongside the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes, began coordinated rescue operations.

This resulted in the successful rescue of one victim and the arrest of a suspect, who is providing information for ongoing investigations. Security operations are ongoing to ensure the safe return of the remaining victims and to capture all involved.
