On the 26th, Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council member Park Jun introduced the 'Gyeongsangnam-do Industrial Technology Protection Ordinance' aimed at establishing a foundation for protecting the industrial technology of local companies. Gyeongsangnam-do is a manufacturing hub for machinery, shipbuilding, defense, and aviation industries.

The ordinance clarifies the governor's responsibilities, mandates a five-year master plan, and includes provisions for company training, consulting, and security support, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. It will be reviewed by the Economic and Environmental Committee next month.
