Gyeyang-gu Implements Gradual Energy Transition Policy Focused on Renewable Energy Distribution
Gyeyang-gu is advancing its energy transition policy to enhance renewable energy distribution and combat climate change, focusing on projects like mini-solar power initiatives and mandatory installations in public institutions. Recognized with the Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor's Award, the district has been selected for the 'New and Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project' for four consecutive years, aiming to install renewable energy facilities in 15 buildings by 2026. The initiative seeks to improve energy access for vulnerable populations while promoting greenhouse gas reduction through public-private partnerships.

Gyeyang-gu is gradually implementing an energy transition policy aimed at expanding new and renewable energy distribution to combat climate change and achieve carbon neutrality. The district is engaged in various projects, including renewable energy convergence support, mini-solar power initiatives, housing support, and mandatory renewable energy installations in public institutions.
Gyeyang-gu has received recognition for its efforts, including the Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor's Award for contributions to renewable energy distribution. The district has been selected for the 'New and Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project' by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for four consecutive years from 2023 to 2026.
This project will support the installation of solar, solar thermal, and geothermal energy facilities in 15 buildings by 2026, aiming to enhance energy access for vulnerable populations. Gyeyang-gu plans to continue its efforts in greenhouse gas reduction and energy conservation through public-private partnerships.
