The terminal will initially handle only one domestic flight, accommodating 150 passengers for arrivals and departures. The project was approved in 2018, but construction faced delays due to funding issues, with work officially starting in 2020. The estimated total cost is ₹54 crore, split equally between the terminal building and the tarmac.
