Hana Bank Launches Support Initiatives for Military Personnel in South Korea

DEFENSE

Hana Bank, led by CEO Lee Ho-seoung, visited military units across South Korea, including the Army's 1st Infantry Division near the inter-Korean border, to support service members on New Year's Day. This initiative coincided with Hana Bank becoming the operator of Korea's government-backed 'Nara Sarang Card' program for enlisted soldiers.

Approximately 100 employees participated in the visit, which included watching the first sunrise of the year and sharing a traditional New Year's breakfast. The bank also provided a financial donation for unit development.

Similar visits were conducted by regional branches at nine military units nationwide. Hana Bank plans to enhance financial support programs aimed at improving the welfare and financial stability of enlisted soldiers, and has broader goals for 2026 focused on economic growth and inclusive financial services.
