DEFENSE

Hanwha Aerospace Romania has started construction on a production facility in Petrești, Dâmbovița, for K9 self-propelled howitzers and K10 ammunition resupply vehicles. The Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) Europe represents the company's first European production site and aims to bolster Romania's defense industry.

The facility will cover approximately 181,055 square meters and include modern assembly lines, testing facilities, and R&D laboratories. Hanwha aims for a localization rate of up to 80% and plans to expand into a regional hub for advanced ground systems, creating significant job opportunities.
