Hanwha and HavocAI to Develop 200-Foot Autonomous Vessels for U.S. Navy
Hanwha and HavocAI have entered a Memorandum of Understanding to develop 200-foot autonomous surface vessels for the U.S. Navy, aiming to meet the Modular Attack Surface Craft solicitation. The partnership will utilize Hanwha's Philly Shipyard for production and integrate advanced combat management systems with HavocAI's autonomy technology, targeting markets in the U.S., Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. This initiative responds to the growing demand for cost-effective, unmanned naval operations.

Hanwha and HavocAI will jointly develop 200-foot autonomous surface vessels under a Memorandum of Understanding. The partnership aims to deliver unmanned warships for the U.S. government's Modular Attack Surface Craft solicitation.
Hanwha will leverage its Philly Shipyard for production, which it acquired in 2024. The collaboration seeks to address the demand for faster, more capable vessels at lower costs, aligning with shifts in U.S. defense strategy towards unmanned operations. The companies plan to produce thousands of vessels by integrating Hanwha's combat management systems with HavocAI's autonomy stack for markets in the U.S., Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.
