Hanwha Ocean Secures $498.8 Million Order for Two LNG Carriers
Hanwha Ocean Co. has secured a 738.3 billion-won ($498.8 million) order to build two liquefied natural gas carriers for a shipping company in Oceania, with delivery expected by June 2029. This contract is part of a total of five vessels worth $890 million that the company has acquired this year, driven by anticipated growth in demand for LNG carriers linked to LNG terminal development projects in the U.S. and other regions.
