Hanwha Ocean has secured ship orders exceeding $10 billion for 2025, marking its first time surpassing this threshold since 2022. The company received contracts for 52 vessels, including 20 VLCCs and 17 container ships, driven by a focus on high-value vessels and favorable market conditions. Additionally, Hanwha Ocean has already secured its first order for 2026, consisting of three VLCCs valued at approximately $388.4 million.

Hanwha Ocean reported securing $10.05 billion in ship orders in 2025, marking its first time surpassing the $10 billion threshold since 2022. The shipbuilder received contracts for 52 vessels, including 20 VLCCs, 17 container ships, and 13 LNG carriers.
This performance is attributed to a strategy focusing on high-value vessels and favorable external conditions, including reduced global vessel supply due to U.S. sanctions. The demand for tankers is expected to remain strong, with over 40% of VLCCs in operation exceeding 15 years in age. Additionally, Hanwha Ocean has secured its first order for 2026, a contract for three VLCCs valued at 572.2 billion won ($388.4 million) from a Middle Eastern shipowner.
