Hanwha Systems Collaborates with Universities for Defense Semiconductor R&D
Hanwha Systems has partnered with Seoul National University and Sungkyunkwan University to establish joint R&D centers for defense semiconductor technology. The centers, inaugurated on March 5, focus on high-frequency semiconductor design for communications and high-power semiconductors for radar applications. These advancements aim to enhance military communications and develop key components for guided weapon systems and observation satellites by 2031.

The collaboration aims to develop technologies applicable to communication satellites, mobile terminals, unmanned aerial vehicles, and radar systems. The initiative supports personnel exchanges and talent recruitment, with key projects set to be completed by 2031.
