Hanwha Systems has established joint research and development centers with Seoul National University and Sungkyunkwan University to enhance defense semiconductor technology. Inaugurated on March 5, these centers will focus on high-frequency semiconductor design for communications and high-power, high-efficiency semiconductors for radar.

The collaboration aims to develop technologies applicable to communication satellites, mobile terminals, unmanned aerial vehicles, and radar systems. The initiative supports personnel exchanges and talent recruitment, with key projects set to be completed by 2031.
