Hazer Group Advances Hydrogen Technology Commercialization with KBR Partnership
Hazer Group Ltd has made significant strides in commercializing its methane pyrolysis technology for clean hydrogen and graphite, reporting a cash balance of AUD 17.2 million and a global pipeline of 51 active leads. The company has partnered with KBR to secure multiple licensing agreements and established a commercial agreement with EnergyPathways in the UK, while also focusing on project licensing and monetizing graphite in 2026. Hazer's technology has been selected for the Whyalla steelworks bid and expanded collaboration with POSCO.

Hazer Group Ltd presented progress in commercializing its methane pyrolysis technology for clean hydrogen and graphite on January 28, 2026. The hydrogen market is estimated at 100 million tons per year, valued at $206 billion, growing at a 4% CAGR.
Hazer reported a cash balance of AUD 17.2 million, bolstered by R&D rebates and capital raising. The company has developed a global pipeline of 51 active leads representing 1.2 MTPA of potential hydrogen capacity.
A commercial agreement with EnergyPathways in the UK has been established, classified as a national significance project. Hazer's strategic partnership with KBR aims to generate multiple licensing agreements, with the first contract completed.
Hazer's technology has been selected for the Whyalla steelworks bid in Australia and expanded its collaboration with POSCO. The company's strategy for 2026 includes focusing on project licensing, monetizing graphite, and exploring growth opportunities.
