HCMC Government Pushes for Technology Sector Growth Through Strategic Support and Policy Changes

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has called for expedited action on business recommendations to enhance the technology sector in Ho Chi Minh City. During a visit to Zalo Platforms and Real-Time Robotics Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed advancements in AI and UAV technologies, noting the need for comprehensive support policies.
Zalo Platforms proposed measures including tax incentives for AI experts and improved access to public data. Meanwhile, RtR is seeking a VND300 billion loan to expand its UAV production, already recognized in international markets.
The city has committed VND200 billion in support for RtR's manufacturing plant in the High-Tech Park. The government aims to bolster Vietnam's technological capabilities and attract investment to maintain competitive growth.
