Heaviside Industries has completed a $28 million Series A funding round to scale its development of autonomous precision munitions. The round was led by Interlagos, with contributions from Menlo Ventures, Flume Ventures, Cantos, Anorak Ventures, and several defense and finance sector investors.
This funding will enable Heaviside to expand its manufacturing and delivery of aerial and underwater munitions systems, targeting U.S. and allied special operations and conventional forces. The company has been developing its technology for over two years and employs over 50 engineers across Los Angeles and Oslo.
The defense sector is increasingly adopting autonomous systems, which Heaviside positions as lower-cost alternatives to traditional munitions while maintaining operational effectiveness in contested environments. The growing demand for modern warfare solutions underscores the strategic significance of Heaviside's advancements.
