Heil Trailer International is expanding its operations in Athens, Tennessee, with an investment of $9.8 million, creating 18 new jobs. This expansion follows a 10-year contract with the U.S. Army for the Tactical Fuel Distribution System.

The project includes new warehousing, automated paint and welding systems, a testing area, and an expanded welding and training school. Heil Trailer, part of EnTrans International, has been in Athens since 1977 and employs over 1,850 people globally, producing about 50% of U.S. tankers.
