Hellenic Navy's New Frigate Kimon to Arrive at Salamis Naval Base on January 15

The Hellenic Navy's new flagship frigate Kimon, built by Naval Group, departed from Lorient, France, and is set to arrive at Salamis Naval Base on January 15. It received its armament in Brest, including Aster-30 missiles and Exocet missiles.
A naval convoy featuring the battleship Averof and trireme Olympias will welcome Kimon in the Saronic Gulf. The frigate represents a transition to modern naval capabilities and digital innovation, with successful initial tests of its systems conducted in Brest prior to its departure.
