HEP Group Launches Trial Operation of Croatia's Largest Solar Power Plant in Dalmatia
Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP Group) has initiated trial operations for the Korlat solar park in northern Dalmatia, expected to generate 165 GWh annually. Completed in 14 months by Shandong Electric Power and Norinco International, the 99 MW facility is the largest in Croatia, featuring a single-axis solar tracking system. The EUR 70 million project was financed with loans from the EBRD and EIB. The Korlat solar park is part of a hybrid power facility alongside a wind farm, and Croatia's total solar capacity exceeded 1 GW last year.
