Herend Porcelain Manufactory has secured long-term employment for 600 workers through a 742 million forint energy-efficiency upgrade, supported by a 293 million forint government grant. The investment, part of the 'Factory Rescue Program,' aims to enhance international competitiveness by saving approximately 40,000 cubic meters of natural gas annually. This initiative is part of a broader effort where 140 companies received support to preserve over 50,000 jobs in Hungary amid rising energy prices due to the Ukraine conflict.

Minister Péter Szijjártó highlighted the need for affordable energy to maintain the competitiveness of Hungarian businesses.
