Hexagon Agility Secures $12 Million Order for Natural Gas Trucks from Major Mexican Carrier
Hexagon Agility has secured a $12 million order for natural gas fuel systems from a major Mexican trucking company, following a successful pilot of heavy-duty natural gas trucks. The new sleeper trucks are expected to cover over 12 million miles annually, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and nitrogen oxide emissions while utilizing natural gas fuel that is up to 50% cheaper than diesel. This shift aligns with the Mexican trucking sector's growing adoption of natural gas, facilitated by an expanding pipeline network and the introduction of Cummins' X15N natural gas engine.

Hexagon Agility has received a $12 million order for natural gas fuel systems from a leading Mexican trucking company. This order follows a successful pilot of heavy-duty natural gas trucks in Mexico over the past year.
The new sleeper trucks will cover over 12 million miles annually, utilizing natural gas fuel that is up to 50% cheaper than diesel. This transition is projected to save up to 2,500 tons of greenhouse gas emissions and reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by approximately 90% each year.
The trucks have a range of up to 1,200 miles on a single fill. The Mexican trucking sector, which is predominantly diesel-fueled, is increasingly adopting natural gas as a lower-cost alternative, supported by an expanding natural gas pipeline network and competitive pricing. The introduction of Cummins' X15N natural gas engine enhances the long-range capabilities for carriers in Mexico.
