Hexagon Sells Design & Engineering Business to Cadence for €2.7 Billion

Cadence anticipates the acquisition will add approximately $160 million in revenue in 2026.

Hexagon AB finalized the sale of its Design & Engineering business to Cadence Design Systems for about €2.7 billion, comprising cash and 3.2 million Cadence shares. This transaction supports Hexagon's strategy to concentrate on its core areas in precision measurement and robotics.
The sale is projected to generate a gain of around €1.4 billion after expenses. Cadence expects the newly acquired business to contribute approximately $160 million in revenue in 2026, integrating Hexagon's MSC Software portfolio with its existing technologies.
