High Bar First Nation has signed a relationship agreement and a project benefits agreement with Westcoast Energy Inc. for the Sunrise Expansion Project, which involves nearly 137 kilometers of new natural gas pipeline in British Columbia. The agreements, established on November 27, 2025, focus on consultation, information sharing, and initiatives aimed at business development, community investment, and environmental stewardship for HBFN members.

High Bar First Nation (HBFN) has signed a relationship agreement and a project benefits agreement with Westcoast Energy Inc. (Enbridge) regarding the proposed Sunrise Expansion Project. The agreements, signed on November 27, 2025, outline a framework for consultation and information sharing about the project, which includes nearly 137 kilometers of new natural gas pipeline in British Columbia.
The project will run near Williams Lake, south of 100 Mile House, and near Savona. HBFN aims to support business development, community investment, environmental stewardship, and training for its members through these agreements.
