Highland Copper Recognized for Contributions to U.S. Domestic Mining Expansion
Highland Copper is acknowledged in a White House Fact Sheet for its role in U.S. domestic copper mining expansion. The company is pursuing project financing from the U.S. Export-Import Bank, highlighting its focus on enhancing domestic production.

Highland Copper has been recognized by the White House for its contribution to expanding U.S. copper mining, particularly through its Copperwood project in Michigan. The project aims to responsibly produce copper, supporting both the economy and national defense.
The company received a Letter of Interest for $250 million in financing from the U.S. Export-Import Bank. This recognition aligns with broader industry efforts, including joint ventures like that of Century Aluminum and Emirates Global Aluminum to establish new facilities in the U.S. The success of these initiatives is contingent on the continuation of Section 232 tariff programs, which bolster domestic competitiveness.
