Himachal Pradesh Signs MoU with Indian Army and Shree Baidyanath Ayurved for Medicinal Plant Cultivation
The Himachal Pradesh government signed a tripartite MoU with the Indian Army and Shree Baidyanath Ayurved to promote the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants in select border and remote villages. This initiative aims to enhance traditional Ayurvedic practices and support rural livelihoods.
The Ayush department will provide technical support and training to local farmers, while Shree Baidyanath Ayurved will supply high-quality seeds and ensure guaranteed procurement at fixed prices. The Indian Army will facilitate training sessions for farmers. The MoU was signed by Army representative Col T S K Singh, Ayush Director Rohit Jamwal, and Shailesh Sharma from Shree Baidyanath Ayurved, with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasizing the collaboration's potential benefits for sustainable rural development.
