HJSC Secures Order for Two Additional 10,100 TEU Container Ships
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction has received an order for two 10,100 TEU container ships, valued at KRW 357.2 billion. This brings its total to four vessels of the same size, enhancing its market position and production efficiency.

HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (HJSC) has secured a contract to build two additional 10,100 TEU container vessels for a European shipowner, valued at KRW 357.2 billion. This order expands the total to four ships of this class, all to be constructed at the Yeongdo Shipyard in Busan.
The design incorporates advanced engineering for enhanced cargo capacity and efficiency, meeting stringent environmental standards with scrubber systems and Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) capabilities. HJSC aims to leverage series production efficiencies to reduce costs and improve productivity.
The company is also developing an LNG dual-fuel version to align with increasing environmental regulations. This order strengthens HJSC's market position in container shipbuilding.
