Hulas Steel Launches Solar Power Plant at Simara Factory in Nepal

SOLAR ENERGY

Hulas Steel Industries Limited has inaugurated a solar power plant at its Simara factory, marking a significant step in its commitment to renewable energy and sustainable practices. The solar installation, inaugurated on December 31, received technical guidance and subsidy support from the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) under the Government of Nepal.

This project aims to generate clean electricity and reduce carbon emissions, enhancing energy efficiency. Hulas Steel has previously transitioned its Continuous Galvanizing Line and Color Coating Line from diesel to electricity, reducing fossil fuel usage. The new solar power addition strengthens the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy and serves as a leading example of sustainable industrial transformation in Nepal's low-carbon economy.
