Hungarian 86th Helicopter Brigade Completes Two Rotations in NATO KFOR Mission in Kosovo
Since March 2025, the Hungarian Defense Forces' 86th Helicopter Brigade has been deployed in Kosovo, completing two rotations with a third returning home soon. The brigade, utilizing H145M helicopters, is part of the NATO-led KFOR mission, enhancing security in the Western Balkans and contributing to Hungary's international presence.

The Hungarian Defense Forces' 86th Helicopter Brigade has been active in Kosovo since March 2025 as part of the NATO-led KFOR mission. The brigade has completed two rotations and is preparing for a third return.
The unit conducts reconnaissance with H145M helicopters, supporting security and stability in the Western Balkans. Their deployment not only enhances Hungary's international role but also aids in the professional development of its soldiers through multinational cooperation and real-time information sharing, improving their operational effectiveness and interoperability with NATO allies.
