Hyperion Robotics Establishes UK Concrete Manufacturing Facility in Flixborough
Hyperion Robotics has announced plans to open its first UK concrete manufacturing facility, Forge I, in Flixborough by summer 2026. The factory will produce over 50 precast concrete foundation units weekly, leveraging automated systems to enhance efficiency in infrastructure development.

Hyperion Robotics will open its Forge I facility in Flixborough, UK, expected to commence operations before summer 2026 and produce more than 50 precast concrete foundation units weekly. The plant will utilize robotic and automated manufacturing systems, with LKAB Minerals supplying both site and mineral inputs.
The units will comply with Eurocode standards, targeting sectors like energy and utilities. This shift to factory production aims to reduce labor and vehicle activity on-site, resulting in lower costs and carbon emissions.
The facility is projected to create around 10 jobs initially, with growth as production increases. The move represents a broader industry trend towards off-site manufacturing in concrete production, mirroring practices seen in companies like the Progress Group and Vertico.
