Hyundai Rotem and Bumar Collaborate on K2 Tank Production in Poland
Hyundai Rotem has finalized a cooperation agreement with Bumar Łabędy for the local production of K2PL tanks in Poland. This initiative aims to establish Poland as a European production hub for the K2 tank, contributing to local defense capabilities and industry revitalization.

Hyundai Rotem and Bumar Łabędy have signed an agreement to commence local production of the K2PL variant of tanks in Poland. This follows a prior executive agreement and aims to establish a local assembly system for the K2 tank and related armored vehicles.
Key components will be sourced locally, enhancing the domestic defense industry while fulfilling Polish military requirements. The contract includes technology transfer and workforce training for Bumar personnel, aimed at improving operational capabilities before full production begins. Hyundai Rotem has already delivered the initial batch of tanks ahead of schedule and plans to invest approximately $135 million in R&D over two years to support mutual growth.
