The company will integrate advanced technologies across its defense, railways, and plants sectors, including the development of an AI-integrated maintenance system and a methane engine for aerospace. A new Robot & Hydrogen Business Division has been established to lead these initiatives, focusing on innovation and adaptation in a competitive landscape.
Hyundai Rotem announced on December 14 its reorganization to strengthen its robotics and hydrogen business divisions. This move aligns with global industry trends focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation energy sources.
The company will integrate technologies such as unmanned systems, AI, and hydrogen energy across its defense, railways, and plants sectors. The Defense Solutions division will enhance capabilities in manned and unmanned systems, while the aerospace sector is advancing a 35-ton methane engine for private space transportation.
The Rail Solutions division is developing an AI-integrated Condition-Based Maintenance system. A new Robot & Hydrogen Business Division has been established to lead in robotics and hydrogen technologies, including the formation of dedicated teams for sales and research. Hyundai Rotem aims to innovate and adapt to the evolving competitive landscape driven by advancements in physical AI.
