Hyundai Rotem Wins Key National AI Robot Development Projects
Hyundai Rotem has secured two national R&D projects focused on physical AI for unmanned robots, enhancing battlefield technology. These initiatives will facilitate the development of integrated control systems and simulators that improve operational efficiency and response capabilities in defense scenarios.

Hyundai Rotem has been selected as the lead operator for two significant national R&D projects aimed at advancing unmanned robot technologies. The projects are 'Integrated Control System for Heterogeneous and Multi-Robots Based on Natural Language Commands' and 'Integrated Simulator and Modular Robot System Based on Physical AI,' issued by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and the Agency for Defense Development (ADD).
The integrated control system will allow operators to manage multiple unmanned platforms using natural language, improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the ADD project will create a digital twin simulator for performance verification in various environments, enhancing development efficiency. These advancements align with South Korea's objectives for future defense technologies, emphasizing national security and public safety.
