Impulse Space Secures $500 Million for Orbital Transport Systems

Impulse Space has secured $500 million in a Series D funding round, leading to a valuation of $4.26 billion. This funding, led by 137 Ventures and BANNER VC, will be utilized to expand its workforce and manufacturing capacity.
The company, based in Redondo Beach, California, has successfully completed three missions and has contracts worth several hundred million dollars across various sectors. Impulse operates two spacecraft: 'Mira', which has completed three missions, and 'Helios', set to launch in 2027.
The firm is developing multiple propulsion systems for various orbital tasks and has doubled its workforce in the past year, now employing over 200 staff members. The company also collaborates with Anduril Industries on defense projects.
