Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar inaugurated the Parshuram Kund Mela and unfurled the national flag at Parshuram Kund in Lohit district on 13 January. Mein highlighted the flag's symbolism of unity and national pride, commending the Indian Army for the initiative.

He acknowledged Kamala Ratansey Maskai's contribution towards the flag's installation and emphasized the spiritual significance of Parshuram Kund. A new guest house was inaugurated to support local employment and sustainable tourism. The event was attended by various dignitaries and a large number of devotees.
