Indefol Targets Local Green Hydrogen Production in Vietnam by 2025
Indefol is set to launch a green hydrogen project in Nam Dinh in July 2025, aiming to localize technology and reduce foreign dependency. The company plans to recruit 1,500 engineers through partnerships with Vietnamese universities to build a skilled workforce.

Indefol's green hydrogen project in Nam Dinh is scheduled to begin in July 2025, with an objective to establish Vietnam's presence in the global hydrogen market. The company has developed a hydrogen production system with a capacity of 1 MW, achieving 50% local technology ownership, yet it faces challenges in sourcing qualified suppliers for precision engineering and electronics.
To address the workforce gap, Indefol intends to recruit 1,500 engineers by collaborating with leading Vietnamese universities. Competitive production costs compared to conventional hydrogen methods remain a significant challenge for the project.
