India and Brazil Enhance Defence Cooperation with Akash SAM and Embraer Partnerships
India and Brazil are advancing their defence cooperation through joint production and industrial partnerships in air defence, artillery, and aerospace. High-level meetings in 2025 led to discussions on India's Akash missile system, the Garuda 105 V2 artillery, and naval cooperation involving joint maintenance of submarines. Brazil is also exploring collaborations in shipbuilding and establishing joint ventures in small arms production. Embraer signed agreements for a Final Assembly Line for the E175 jet and MRO facilities for the C-390 aircraft, aiming to strengthen local manufacturing and operational autonomy.

India and Brazil are deepening their defence ties through strategic cooperation in areas such as air defence and artillery. High-level dialogues in 2025 facilitated discussions on India's Akash surface-to-air missile for Brazil's air defence needs.
