The 10th India-Lao PDR Joint Commission Meeting marks 70 years of diplomatic relations, focusing on cultural and economic cooperation. Key discussions include political, defense, and multilateral collaboration.

The 10th India-Lao PDR Joint Commission Meeting, co-chaired by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Laos Deputy Prime Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane, emphasizes 70 years of diplomatic relations.
Discussions aim to enhance cooperation across political, economic, defense, education, and cultural sectors. Jaishankar referenced previous visits, including PM Modi's in 2024, strengthening the bilateral partnership rooted in shared Buddhist heritage and the Ramayana.
Phomvihane's visit follows the successful National Assembly elections in Laos earlier this year. This meeting is expected to further develop longstanding ties, indicating a commitment to mutual interests and collaboration.
