India and Nepal Enhance Connectivity and Energy Cooperation
India's Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, emphasizes the expansion of bilateral relations, focusing on connectivity and energy. Key initiatives include railway connectivity and cross-border digital payments to facilitate trade and remittances.

India's Ambassador to Nepal highlighted the importance of enhanced connectivity and energy partnerships during India's 80th Independence Day celebrations. Key projects include the construction of transportation infrastructure and the development of hydropower initiatives by Indian companies in Nepal.
The ambassador noted that railway connections will improve customs and trade efficiency. Additionally, cross-border digital payment systems will assist Nepali workers in India with remittance transfers.
Cooperation is also expanding in sectors such as renewable energy, IT, and disaster response. Following Nepal's recent elections, India reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties under the new leadership of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
