India and Serbia Target Bilateral Trade of 1 Billion Euros by 2030
Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic aim to boost bilateral trade from 32 million euros to 1 billion euros by 2030, discussing cooperation in sectors such as defense, pharmaceuticals, and tourism during Murmu's visit. Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic set a goal to increase bilateral trade from 32 million euros to 1 billion euros by 2030. During Murmu's visit, she engaged in multiple official activities, including bilateral talks and a business event.
Both leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including defense, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, IT, and cultural exchanges, particularly in film and tourism. Serbia proposed a 20-25% cashback incentive for film productions.
Vucic expressed interest in establishing direct air links between Belgrade and Delhi, offering concessions to Indian airlines. Murmu acknowledged Serbia's support for India's 75th independence anniversary and highlighted potential collaboration in science, technology, and renewable energy. The leaders recognized the importance of cultural ties, including yoga and Ayurveda, and addressed the Indian diaspora in Serbia, emphasizing the shared historical context and future cooperation.
