India and Seychelles Sign $175 Million Special Economic Package and MoUs
India and Seychelles have signed a $175 million Special Economic Package during a meeting between PM Modi and President Herminie. The package aims to support social housing, e-mobility, vocational training, health, defense, and maritime security projects, creating employment and skill development opportunities in Seychelles. The agreement includes $125 million in a rupee-denominated line of credit and $50 million in grants. The countries also signed several Memoranda of Understanding to enhance bilateral relations.

India and Seychelles signed a $175 million Special Economic Package aimed at supporting several sectors, including social housing, e-mobility, vocational training, health, defense, and maritime security. The agreement was reached during discussions between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Seychelles President Patrick Herminie, who is on a state visit from February 5 to 10.
The package comprises $125 million as a rupee-denominated line of credit and $50 million in grant assistance. Additionally, various Memoranda of Understanding were signed to deepen cooperation and enhance bilateral relations.
