India Approves Historic €30 Billion Deal for 114 Rafale Jets from France

India's Defense Ministry approved the acquisition of 114 Rafale jets from France, valued at €30 billion, highlighting a significant step in defense cooperation. This follows previous purchases of 36 Rafale jets for the Indian Air Force and 26 for the Navy since 2016.

French President Macron and Indian Prime Minister Modi will open an Airbus H125 helicopter assembly line in Bangalore and emphasize the need to diversify trade with India, which is projected to become the fourth largest economy. Bilateral trade currently stands at €15 billion, with considerable untapped potential. They will also initiate an AI summit in New Delhi, aiming to strengthen multilateral cooperation amid global competition.
