India Unveils Vikram VT21 Advanced Armoured Platform to Enhance Defence Capabilities
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched the Vikram VT21 Advanced Armoured Platform, enhancing India's military capabilities. This initiative reflects India's ongoing commitment to indigenous defence manufacturing and modern warfare readiness.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has rolled out the Vikram VT21 Advanced Armoured Platform, which includes tracked and wheeled variants. Developed in three years in collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Bharat Forge Limited, the platform features a 30 mm crewless turret, a 7.62 mm PKT gun, and capabilities for launching anti-tank guided missiles.
It meets STANAG level 4 and 5 protection standards and is designed for dual roles as an Infantry Combat Vehicle and Armoured Personnel Carrier. Additionally, INOXCVA has flagged off a cryogenic Liquid Oxygen storage module for the Indian Navy's submarine fleet, enhancing underwater endurance and stealth. The integration of advanced technologies in both projects signifies a strategic advancement in India's defence landscape, aiming for increased self-reliance and operational effectiveness.
