Indian Army and IIT Madras Pravartak Collaborate for Defence Indigenisation
The Indian Army has partnered with IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation to enhance indigenous engineering capabilities in defence. The collaboration, involving the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, aims to reduce reliance on external sources by developing local solutions. A Nodal Indigenisation Centre has been established in Tamil Nadu to support innovation and deployment of defence technologies, strengthening the Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor as a hub for manufacturing and research.
