Indian Army Distributes Solar Lighting Solutions in Ladakh's Trans Singela Region
The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army has distributed 325 Home Solar Light Kits and installed 66 Solar Street Lights in the remote Trans Singela region of Ladakh under Operation Sadbhavana. This initiative aims to enhance energy access for isolated communities and demonstrates the army's commitment to local development.
Operation Sadbhavana has seen the Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps distribute 325 Home Solar Light Kits and install 66 Solar Street Lights in the Trans Singela region of Ladakh. The initiative was prompted by a request from Chering Dorjay Lakrook, President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association, and attended by the GOC Fire and Fury Corps.
Over 300 local beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, which aims to improve sustainable energy access. This project illustrates the Indian Army's ongoing focus on community welfare, potentially strengthening relations with local populations amidst regional challenges.
