Indian Army Officer Major Rajprasad Develops First In-House Multi-Utility Unmanned Ground Vehicle

Major Rajprasad RS of the Indian Army's Corps of Engineers has developed the 'Sapperscout RP Ver 2.0,' India's first in-house Multi-Utility Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV). Displayed at the JAI se VIJAY Seminar in Pune, the UGV is designed for multiple battlefield functions, including mine detection and reconnaissance.
It features an all-terrain, six-wheeled platform with obstacle detection systems. The Sapperscout RP Ver 2.0 enhances Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) capabilities and is expected to be inducted into service soon. Major Rajprasad has previously introduced several innovations into the Indian Army, reinforcing indigenous defence manufacturing.
