Indian Navy Contracts MSME Shipyard for Construction of 200T Barges Supporting Maritime India Vision 2030
The Indian Navy has contracted Suryadipta Projects Private Limited to construct three 200T Bottom Opening Non-Propelled Barges, with a delivery deadline of January 16, 2026. This project aligns with the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, supporting the Maritime India Vision 2030 aimed at enhancing self-reliance in the maritime sector. Additionally, a review meeting led by MoCA Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha focused on ensuring the timely completion of the New Integrated Terminal Building T2 Phase II at Chennai International Airport.
