India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme has shortlisted Tata Advanced Systems, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and Bharat Forge for prototype development, excluding Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Expression of Interest by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) on June 18, 2025, triggered the selection process.
The first prototype is expected to fly in 2029, with full development by 2034 and entry into production by 2035. Separately, Kore Digital Limited has been registered with the Indian Air Force's Indigenisation and Substitution Cell for manufacturing 3D printed components for defense applications, valid until March 2031.
