India's AMCA Advances with Open-Architecture Technology Over F-35
The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is positioned to enhance India's defense autonomy with its modular, open-architecture design, diverging from the F-35 Lightning-II's closed system. This innovation enables real-time software updates and integration of indigenous technologies, promoting operational independence.

The AMCA's design facilitates the integration of local electronic warfare systems and AI-driven models, allowing India to adapt the aircraft for regional challenges without foreign constraints. Utilizing advanced dual-band infrared sensors from Bharat Electronics Limited, the AMCA enhances thermal sensitivity and jamming resistance over the F-35's mid-wave infrared sensors.
Furthermore, the AMCA MK-2 will serve as a command hub, coordinating with drones through its advanced Distributed Aperture System, thus extending operational reach. This capability, combined with its advanced sensor fusion powered by adaptive AI, allows the detection of threats over 100 kilometers without radar emissions, ensuring stealth.
