India's Government Plans to Acquire 10,000 Electric Sedans
The Indian government seeks to enhance its fleet with 10,000 electric sedans through a global bidding process. This initiative aims to promote a cleaner environment and supports the goal of transitioning to an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited has initiated a global bidding process for 10,000 electric sedans, intended for government use, capable of traveling 150 km on a single charge. This initiative aligns with India's broader vision to transition to electric vehicles by 2030.
Among potential models are the Toyota Prius, a hybrid vehicle combining petrol or diesel with electric power, and the GM Chevrolet Volt, a plug-in hybrid that features both electric and combustion engines. Additionally, the Toyota Mirai represents a fuel cell electric vehicle that minimizes emissions. This shift towards electric vehicles could significantly reduce urban pollution and align with global sustainability trends.
