India's MEA Secretary Sibi George Engages in Bilateral Talks and SPECA Forum in Turkmenistan
India's MEA Secretary (West) Sibi George arrived in Ashgabat on January 21 for the 5th round of Foreign Office Consultations with Turkmenistan and the SPECA Economic Forum. He met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to discuss enhancing bilateral partnerships.
George also conferred with Deputy FM Myahri Byashimova to evaluate progress in areas such as politics, security, defense, commerce, culture, academia, and people-to-people links, while addressing multilateral synergies at the UN. At the SPECA forum, George highlighted trade, investment flows, and economic integration to strengthen ties between India and Central Asia. This initiative aligns with India's 'Extended Neighbourhood' doctrine, aiming for collaborative advancements in energy and infrastructure.
