Indonesia Coordinates with China for Release of Kidnapped Crew in Gabon
Indonesia is collaborating with China to secure the release of four Indonesian crew members kidnapped by pirates near Gabon, where an attack on the vessel IB FISH 7 involved both Indonesian and Chinese nationals. The Gabonese Navy reported that the vessel was abandoned after the assault, and local security forces have since increased maritime security measures to prevent further piracy incidents.

Gabonese security forces later secured the abandoned vessel and escorted it to port. Gabon has tightened maritime security to prevent further piracy incidents.
