Try Sutrisno, Indonesia's 6th Vice President, passed away at the age of 90 at TNI Army Central Hospital in Jakarta. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi expressed deep sadness over Sutrisno's death, recognizing him as a significant figure who dedicated his life to the nation.
He encouraged Indonesians to pray for Sutrisno and to emulate his service to the country. In his final years, Sutrisno remained active in national activities, including serving as Vice Chairman of the BPIP. His body will be washed at RSPAD and transported for burial at Jalan Purwakarta, with military honors.
