Indonesia's AHY Advocates Multifunctional Infrastructure Following Military Aircraft Tests on Sumatran Toll Road
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure, called for multifunctional infrastructure after military aircraft successfully landed on the Trans-Sumatera Toll Road. He highlighted the need for infrastructure to serve various purposes, such as defense and emergency services. The recent tests included F-16 and EMB-314 Super Tucano aircraft over a three-kilometer stretch in Lampung Province, marking a significant development in the strategic use of toll roads.

The Minister referenced a recent exercise involving F-16 and EMB-314 Super Tucano aircraft over a three-kilometer section in Lampung Province, marking a first for Indonesia. He advocated for infrastructure that can also serve as emergency runways and facilitate disaster response, underscoring the importance of effective planning and budget efficiency in development.
